Primary Years

Building Strong Foundations

The Primary Years focus on developing essential skills in literacy, numeracy, communication, and emotional development. Engaging classroom experiences help children build curiosity, confidence, and a positive relationship with learning from an early age.

Middle School

Expanding Knowledge & Independence

As students progress, learning becomes broader and more interdisciplinary. Alongside stronger subject knowledge, students develop life skills, digital literacy, analytical thinking, collaboration, and independent learning habits that prepare them for increasingly challenging academic work.

Senior School

Preparing for the Next Step

Senior School gives students greater academic focus and opportunities to pursue subjects aligned with their interests and aspirations. At the Senior Secondary level, students can choose from Science, Commerce, and Humanities, with the school also referencing preparation for pathways such as NEET, JEE, and CA.

The curriculum aligns with the new CBSE and National Curriculum Framework (NCF) regulations, focusing on experiential learning and skill development.

Language & Literacy
  • Three-Language Formula: R1, R2, and R3 are compulsory for Classes 6 and 9, requiring at least two native Indian languages.
  • Multilingual Lab: Trains students in English, Hindi, and Kannada to build fluency and cross-cultural communication.
Core Academics
  • Mathematics: Built on a “spiral learning” approach focusing on logical reasoning and algorithmic problem-solving.
  • Science: Integrates physics, chemistry, and biology into an inquiry-driven framework.
  • Social Science: Combines traditional subjects into a unified study of society and the Indian Knowledge System (IKS).
Advanced & Specialized Academics

Co-Curricular & Skills
  • Individuals in Society: A Class 9 course focusing on ethics and community building.
  • Technology & Future Skills: Core competencies in Computational Thinking (CT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • Art Education (Kriti): Mandatory integration of Music, Drama, Dance, and Art/Craft.
Skill Education
  • Kaushal Bodh: Exposure-based skill learning for middle school (Classes 6–8).
  • Kaushal Vikas: Competency-based vocational training for secondary school (Classes 9–10).
Physical Education
  • Khel Yatra: Movement and physical literacy for middle school (Classes 6–8).
  • Khel Praveen: Advanced sports proficiency and tactics for secondary school (Classes 9–10).
Senior Secondary Stage (Classes 11–12)
Restructured into a flexible, multidisciplinary format. Students select subject groups based on their goals, combining core tracks like PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) or Biology with optional subjects like Computer Science and Physical Education.
Assessment Shift
Grading frameworks transition away from rote memorization to focus entirely on competency-based questions that test practical understanding and real-world application.

It was the vision of Shri Siddharaj Manik Prabhu Maharaj, inspired by his formative years at the prestigious Scindia School, Gwalior, that led to the establishment of a CBSE co-educational boarding school amidst the serene hillocks of Manigiri in 1972. At that time, the very idea of creating such an institution in this region appeared as formidable as the hills themselves. Yet, through determination, faith, and collective effort, that vision has flourished into a remarkable educational movement.
For over five decades, The Manik Public School has evolved into a distinguished centre of learning for the people of Kalyana Karnataka and beyond. Today, we proudly stand as a truly multilingual and multicultural institution, nurturing students from Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and many other parts of the country.
Over the years, the The Manik Public School has built a rich legacy of excellence in academics, sports, arts, life skills, and co-curricular activities. From a modest beginning with only a few buildings in 1972, the campus has expanded significantly while retaining its founding values and ethos. Our vibrant residential community now comprises six houses — Siddharaj House, Shankar House, and Martand House for boys, and Laxmibai House and Muktabai House for girls — each fostering leadership, camaraderie, discipline, and healthy competition.
It is indeed a matter of immense pride that the The Manik Public School continues to educate and nurture more than 500 students year after year, while consistently achieving laurels in both academic and non-academic spheres.
As I assume the responsibilities of the Officiating Principal, I consider it a privilege and honour to lead Team MPS and carry forward this unique journey of spiritual and academic excellence, harmoniously complemented by sports, skills, and holistic development. While we have embraced technology and transformed ourselves into an IT-enabled institution, we continue to cherish our timeless traditions of prayer, meditation, and value-based education.
